There are a lot of great points made in this blog post. I also wish vim would standardize on how one extends it. Yet, regarding this snippet; "It’s the new hotness and has a more active community than Vim does." I remember when textmate was the new "hotness," too. "Gotta checkout TextMate!" I never did as Mac wasn't my main platform at the time. Yet, TextMate's time has come and gone. I suspect that at its apex TextMate had a comparatively more "vibrant" community as well. Sublime does have passionate advocates and that's a good. The depth of the vim community is another matter, there's always deep engagement. So I remain unpersuaded but open.
